Senpai is a term for the senior student in a school. They usually assist the Senior Instructor in teaching the classes. If both are in attendance, the Senpai will be on the right hand side of the teacher. He is responsible for calling the class to attention and bowing to the Sensei.
"Sensei" is generally used for the instructor. It is used for calling senior black belts as well, who have same or more experience than your instructor.
