25 minutes for a championship fight is the longest a fight can go. Currently 25 minutes is the longest but in the early days of the UFC there were no time limits. In UFC 5, the battle be6tween Ken Shamrock and Royce Gracie was declared a draw after 36 minutes when they could just go no longer. There were no judges to award points then either.
