There are 10 ends (rounds) in Olympic curling. However, if the losing team feels that the game is out of reach, they may conceded the game early (and in fact, it is considered good etiquette to do so). In each end, each team plays 8 stones.

In curling, each round is called an "end." Curling games are typically 8 ends (about 2 hours), though in regional/state, national, and international competition (including the Olympics) games are typically 10 ends, with a 5-minute break after the 5th end (these games take 2.5 to 2.75 hours).

It should also be noted that, in curling, the losing team can concede the game at any time if they feel they have no legitimate chance to win (this is done by shaking hands with the opposing team). In fact, conceding games when you have no chance to win is considered the polite thing to do in tournaments, so that the winning team doesn't have to spend extra physical and mental effort for no good reason.

Currently an Olympic boxing match consists of four rounds and each round lasts for two minutes. In the past, boxing matches were made up of 3 rounds each of which lasted for three minutes.
