The Michigan Wolverines last won the Big Ten Championship in football in 2004. They secured the title by finishing the season with a 9-3 record, which included a victory over Iowa in the conference championship game. Since then, they have had several competitive seasons but have not claimed the Big Ten title again.

Also, they didn't actually win a national championship in 1901; they "won" it 40 years later when the Helms Foundation retroactively selected them as 1901 champion.
