Because Easter can fall anywhere between late March and late April, every once in a while the Final Four will be held during Easter weekend. At the same time, the NCAA has a week's work of leeway as to when to begin the tournament (and thus when the Final Four is scheduled), so on occasion (but not always) it looks like the NCAA has scheduled the final four a week earlier or later to avoid Easter weekend. Over the last 30 years, the final four was held during Easter weekend in 1986, 1988, 1991, 1994, 1997, 2002, and 2010.
