The first Baseball bobblehead dolls in the 1960s were of Major League Baseball players Willie Mays, Roberto Clemente, and Mickey Mantle. These bobbleheads were produced by the Bobble Dobbles company and were given away as promotional items at games. They quickly became popular collectibles among baseball fans and are now highly sought after by collectors.

The first set of bobble heads that included examples from 20 different teams were the 1961- 1963 White base, baseball series. They originally sold for $1.00 each. The series included nine dolls featuring mascot heads. Also lumped into this series are four dolls of actual players. Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris, Willie Maysand Roberto Clemente. These bobble heads had a facsimile autograph decal on the base, and Came with a square or round white base (round base has a different body type).
