souvenir baseballs have been a fan favorite for decades. This is one of the first souvenirs kids get when they go to their first Major league game, and for Decades they also Played with them. (not as much today). Most of them have been used to submission, or the signatures faded over the years. But the few that make it through the years are very desirable. The baseballs became popular during the 1950's. I have seen souvenir baseballs from the late 1940's but vary rare. It could be that not many were made or they were just used until it was a ball of string. They weren't viewed as a collectible back then. If you were a kid with a Baseball you played with it.
