The Christy Mathewson's "Big Six" Indoor Baseball game is worth about $750. - $1,2500. in excellent - near/mint condition.
Christy Mathewson signatures are rare and highly sought after. On average a Christy Mathewson signature can sell between $8,000.-$12,000. Not too many signed baseballs found, and most of the auction I viewed were for signed books selling as high as $26,000. A cut signature could sell in the $2,000. -$3,000. range.
Because the signature is on the back it would be valued as a cut signature. If it were on the cover, it would make a better display, and raise the value. The condition, and the type of authenticity that accompanies the signature will be a factor on value. If the signature is not properly authenticated it could sell at half the market value or less.
The signature, and the game have a higher value if sold separately. Problem is, the signature is on the back of the cover and cannot be displayed at the same time. This will lower the value of the signature, or the game significantly. As it is the game with the signature on the back of the cover, it might sell slightly higher than the unsigned game or the value of the signature, and not the full value of the game, and the signature added together.
I'm not familiar with the back of the cover. It is possible that the signature is a facsimile, and is part of the printing on the game.

I believe that that the "signature guarantee" to which you're referring pertains to financial and monetary documents. The "signature guarantee' that they require is the actual signature of a bank or financial institution officer.
You can't get a Medallion signature guarantee in France, according to my research and according to the Paris consulate. Anyone know how to get ANY kind of signature guarantee in France? I don't believe you can.

Memorabilia featuring the genuine autograph of Babe Ruth is highly sought by collectors and potentially valuable. Unfortunately, signatures are also very often forged. Presuming authenticity, key value factors are: the placement and clarity of Ruth's signature (the bigger and bolder, the better), and the all-important overall condition of the book and signature. The provenance; the who, what, when and where of a signed item's history, may also add value if documented. If genuine, your book would be worth $600 to as much as $1500, depending on all the aforementioned factors. If memory serves me, I believe the title page of this book includes a printed facsimile example of Ruth's signature, which often confuses non-collectors.
A clear and somewhat unique signature is the hardest to reproduce accurately. Many believe that a lot of swirls or a scribbled signature is hardest to reproduce but, in fact, it is the easiest because most people when looking at a signature are not going to go to a whole lot of trouble trying to decipher scribbles.
