Photo Pennants are very popular with collectors. A 1965 New York Yankees Photo pennant is worth about $135. -$150. Condition is important, especially with the photo. These photos are typically creased, and as with all collectibles condition is important.

Common flaws with pennants are missing ties, pin holes, frying, creases, and "crackling" on the printing. Sometimes people will trim down a pennant to rid it of the frying or other flaws like a flat tip (point) Caused by being pinned up and ripped off. Any of these flaws will degrade the pennant significantly. Doctored pennants - A term used to describe a pennant that has been altered to cover up a flaw, is a practice that is frowned upon among the collecting community, and could sell for less than a pennant with the flaws it was meant to cover up. The value will vary depending on the size, the type of photo, and it's origin. If it is a modern reproduction 8 x 10 photo it would only have a value of about $10.00. Original first generation photos printed from the original negative will have a higher value. The photo could be a news service, press or wire photo. These type of photos could range in value from $20. -$200. with photos that were used in publication having added value.

The team photo could also be part of an advertisement or premium given away with a product or publication. Premium photos do sell at a premium. Teams have also sent out photos in the mail in reply to fan requests.

More information would be needed to give an accurate value, The photo would have to be correctly identified as to it's type, and origin.

A 1965 New York Yankees Team Signed photo with the key signatures: Mantle, Ford, Howard, Maris, Stottlemyre, and Murcer is worth about $250.-$450. Part of the value will be determined by how well the photo displays the signatures. The type of ink used, and how it stands out in contrast to the photograph will also effect the price. Sharpie would be most preferred for a photo. Larger and more desired pictures could sell for more. Value is based on average prices of recently closed auctions. Prices may vary based on condition, and the type of authenticity that accompanies the signatures. Prices may also vary based on the amount of signatures, and key signatures acquired. The more complete the Baseball with key signatures the more valuable. If the signatures are not properly authenticated the baseball could sell at half the market value or less.

I have watched and unsuccessfully bid on a couple of these photo pennants on ebay and depending on condition they will sell for between $100-$400.
