actually, there are 122 different for 1950-2006, and 6 more from 2007-2012..(2 for 2009)..a gem mint 1950 edition sells between $300-$400, but, thats only for a gem mint copy..no flaws..extremely hard to find in that condition
condition is the most important consideration when attempting to value any sports card or publication...95% of ny yankee yearbooks offered on ebay have some minor flaw that keeps them from being graded mint or gem mint..its up to the individual collector as to how much a given flaw affects a book's price, there is no official grading system...every dealer/collector makes up his own..with cards, there is at least a psa grading system to go by..be careful, many ebay sellers overvalue their yearbooks and understate condition..careful shoppers can find good prices, however, if their patient...
generally, private sellers offer much better deals than collectibles dealers, although the collectibles dealers often have the higher grade merchandise available...they have the buying power and reputations to purchase large estates and/or take in whole collections to sell on consignment...
bottom line is, be patient..if you think the price is too high, then wait for the next one..someone will offer it cheaper..however, if your a serious collector and want the highest grade samples, then dont be shy if you find one in mint or gem mint condition...just dont go over $350 for anything from 1950 or 1951..$100-$200 from 1952 to 1959...nothing over $125 for anything from the 1960's, (and make sure its in mint condition at those prices), and then go from there
