It all depends on many factors, including but not limited to the year, amount of use, whether or not autographed. A rookie bat (1995-96) unsigned with good use could go for anywhere from $4000 - $8000 or so, because they are so rare. Rookie bats will have DEREK JETER in block letters rather than his scripted signature. A more recent gamer could go for $1500 - $3000. A signed bat adds to the price, whereas a bad crack can bring the price down a bit. Jeter is about to get his 3000th hit, so look for his game used memorabilia to explode in price for a while, then drop down a bit and level off. (March 1, 2011)

Derek Jeter signed 11 x 14 photoA Derek Jeter signed 11 x 14 photo is worth about $150.-$250. Price will vary based on condition, and the type of authenticity that accompanies the signature. Part of the value will be determined by how well the photo displays the signature, the type of ink used, and how it stands out in contrast to the photograph. Sharpie would be most preferred for a photo. Larger, and more desired photos will sell for more. Signatures that have not been properly authenticated could sell at half the market value or less.
Derek Jeter Autograph ValuesThe value of a Derek Jeter signature will vary in price based on condition, the type of authenticity that accompanies the signature, the item signed, and how well the item displays the signature. Baseballs are the most common, and preferred by collectors because of it's connection to the game, low cost, availability and it displays the signature well. The signed baseball represents the average price for a signature, and by deducting or adding from this price for the Item signed accordingly will give you a good idea on value. The lowest priced signed item would be for a "cut Signature." A cut signature is a signature on a piece of paper, or "cut" from a larger piece. Index cards are the next step up, and both sell at a fraction (about 10%-20%) the price of an autographed baseball. Autograph photos typically sell at about 40-60 percent the price of a baseball with bats, uniform Jersey's and equipment selling at a higher price due to the higher cost of the item, rarity and display. In general if an autographed baseball is worth $100. the same autograph on a 8x10 photo $50. a cut signature $20. on a bat $150. The percentage of the price could also vary based on the popularity of the player, and how sought after the signature is.A Derek Jeter Single signed baseball is worth about $150.-$250, however if could be more or less depending on the kind of ball and how many other signatures are on it. A Derek Jeter signed 8 x 10 photo is worth about $130.-$175. Photo composition, and appeal will effect the price as well. Part of the value will be determined by how well the photo displays the signature. The type of ink used, and how it stands out in contrast to the photograph will also effect the price. Sharpie would be most preferred for a photo. Larger and more desired pictures could sell for more.In a recent auctions a Derek Jeter single signed baseball sold for $203. a Derek Jeter 8 x10 photo sold for $155. a Derek Jeter signed game used batting glove $418, and a Derek Jeter pro model baseball bat sold for $391.Derek Jeter's rookie signature is worth more, and his signature has changed over the years, so it is fairly easy to know the era of the signature that you have. That being said, one can generally not pinpoint an exact year, as his 1992-94 signature may look similar. Personal inscription like "Good Luck Mary" will sell for less, unless the inscription is to a famous person such as an actor, politician, or teammate.

There are two numbers you could reasonably say were Derek Jeter's first "professional" number. The first time Jeter technically became a professional was in 1992, when the New York Yankees picked him sixth overall in the draft. Like most new players, however, he did not go directly to the major leagues; the Yankees first placed him in their minor league system. It's hard to determine the first jersey number he wore in the minors, since far less attention is payed to the minor leagues than the majors. Fortunately, there were several collectible "rookie edition" baseball cards made of Jeter; from pictures of these, it would be a reasonably good guess to say that Jeter's first minor league number was "13". A link to a picture of one of these cards is included in the related links.Jeter's first major league number is much easier to find; he's used the same one for his entire major league career. Jeter's first major league number was "2".
Derek Jeter Signed JerseyA Derek Jeter Signed Jersey is worth about $400. - $600. Signatures authenticated by companies like Steiner sports or Upper Deck could sell for more. Prices will vary based on, the quality of the Jersey signed, home or road jersey, the placement of the signature, front or back, signed on the number or below the logo. The Bulk of the value will be decided by the condition of the signature, the type of authenticity that accompanies the signature, and how well the signature is displayed on the Jersey.
