I normally wore a Bike jock without the cup, but sometimes my baseball compression shorts.
An athletic supporter with cup is sometimes called a cup jock or a jock cup. it is a jockstrap that has a pocket in front that a hard plastic cup sldes inside of to protect your penis and testicles from getting hit.
Put the cup in the jock strap and tell him to wear it like underwear...
no
Not often enough.
There are only two sizes of jock cups. Youth and Adult. If you need a larger size cup you can buy a nutty buddy cup, the nutty buddy cup is worn differently than a regular cup. first you would put on a pair of briefs or underwear and then a jockstrap over top of that. The nutty buddy cup is put inside the jock pouch but over the briefs.
BELOW IS THE «KINDERGARTEN» VERSION OF How to Wear a Jock While it is reasonably accurate as far as it goes, it (a) shows a faulty understanding of how a CUP works, and (b) omits critical information. Wearing a CUP without proper support (containment) underneath is foolhardy and begging at best a chafed scrotum, and at worst a destroyed testicle or two. PLEASE! Before someone gets in trouble, they should read my original, concise and COMPLETE direcdtions.Hold the jock in front of you so the waistband is horizontal, like a brief. The pouch should be in front and the leg straps should be on either side. Like a brief, step into the jock with one leg on either side of the pouch. The leg straps should go behind your legs and the waistband, of course, should go around your waist. Also, if you're wearing a jock cup make sure you use the jock straps that are specially made for the cup.Regular jock straps just have a pouch in front to hold your penis and testicles. It's just one layer of stretchy cloth that's there to give you support. The jockstraps made for cups have a special pouch that the jock cup slides into, and they usually have velcro or elastic at the top to hold the cup in. It's kind of like a "sock" that the cup fits into, and the cup is surrounded by cloth on all sides.Sometimes a guy might think that it's ok to just wear his jock cup inside a regular jock strap, but this is not a good idea. First of all this is not too higenic, because wearing the cup up against your skin means that sweat will collect between your skin and the plastic of the cup. And this could give you a nasty case of jock-itch. If you've never had jock-itch, think of athlete's foot on your penis and scrotum. The fungus that causes jock-itch is almost the same as the one that causes athlete's foot. The special cup jockstraps keep cloth between you and the cup, and this helps wick away the sweat. And the other thing is that you are not getting as much protection if you wear the cup inside a regular jock. That's because your testicles will be sitting right up against the inside of the cup. So if you get hit in the groin, the shock will carry right through the cup to your testicles. If you wore the cup inside the intended cup jockstrap, then the cloth across the inside of the cup would have held your penis and testicles back from the cup, so they weren't sitting up against it. That helps hold them away from the shock of any impact. So make sure you wear the right kind of strap when you wear your jock cup!Your "junk" goes in the pouch and your legs go between the legstraps and the pouch. Pull it up and you're set. And the label faces out in front. Don't wear with the label facing in because it's uncomfortable.
In the briefs Cups are made to be worn in the jock they come with, put the cup in the jock pouch then that should be the first thing you wear, so against the skin...A few cups now have brief type supporters, I like these best. The Orignal Banana Cup comes in one and its very comfortable, I think i got it at lockergear.com My hockey jock says to make sure you wear a jock under your cup, so I end up wearing 2 jocks, one for the cup, and one to hold my stuff inside the cup which is sort of uncomfortable, but at least everything stays in one place and nothing hangs out to get racked I like to wear my jock on my skin i think it does a better job on protecting my balls
Different men wear it differently. Oftentimes the jock/cup replace the underwear entirely. Otherwise the jock would typically go outside underwear, sliding shorts, etc.

put it in the pocket of your jockstrap/ compression shorts and slip it on under everything. make sure you don't have on underwear under it or any other clothing because it will not be tight enough against your body.
