Darren Sharper officially retired in November 2011. However, he did not play a game during the 2011 season after not joining a team following the 2010 season. He suffered multiple injuries during 2010 causing him to miss a lot of the 2010 season as well.
Originally, Darren Sharper was drafted out of William and Mary College for the Green Bay Packers. Then, he played for the Minnesota Vikings. After that, he played for the New Orleans Saints. Darren Shaper has been selected for the Pro Bowl five times. He also participated in the NFL's 2000s All-Decade Team.
