That depends on your definition of champion. Be that for good or bad? The most famous and infamous was Heracles (also Hercules in Roman Mythology) He was the illegitimate son of Zeus, King of the Gods and was punished by Hera, his wife (who incidently is that reason for his name "Victory of Hera" Irony at its best) Heracles accomplished many feats namely his 12 Labours which were assigned to him after Hera drove him to murder his wife and child. I guess you could call him they most famous champion, he is the most known. Heroes like Perseus havem't acheived such world wide popularity.
