In 2009, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo got an MRI of his right ankle. On a mid September Sunday, Romo was injured in the 3rd quarter of the 34-21 season-opening victory game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He continued to play, throwing for a career-high 353 yards and three touchdowns. Romo's ankle was wrapped in ice after the game. In post-game interviews he said he was going to be fine. The Cowboys re-evaluated the injury and decided to do an MRI. The negative result confirmed Romo's initial prognosis.
