blood sweat and tears my friend. in other words work you hard. get into an mma gym close to you (there has to be one, god knows there are thousands of them) train hard. mma gyms have connections to promoters and can get you smaller fights to get your name out there. and it doesnt hurt to send a tape of you showcasing your talents to the ufc on there homepage- www.ufc.tv either. hope i helped at least a little You can usually go into any class and observe to help you get the nerve to go. Also many classes will let you try it out free a class or two. The guys you train with you will become very close to & they all become your brothers! Its a great experience and you will be in the best shape of your life.
Very similar to making to Major League Baseball, a fighter has to decide to go pro and start getting regional fights in small venues. Then, if he can build a strong resume with solid wins in non boring fashion, they can move up to bigger promotions like Pancrease in Japan or King of Combat, and have the chance at getting the UFC's attention. Another way in is to have high profile success in another related sport like college Wrestling, boxing, or judo. Pro wrestlers are getting more and more attention lately, like Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley.
Well first off you need to train.... Lol. But if you are already make sure its a school that has fighters already in ufc or your coach has conections to promoters or fighters. It will be up to your coach to decide when your ready to fight. Make sure you train in stand up and ground and of course some mad sports training. Its fairly easy to get a fight in a local venue... As you go upin fights and ranking... Only the ones that are really good and have had some great wins and battles will be looked at for possible ufc material. And even then you may get passed over like so many great fighters do... Good luck..
Join a gym that is well known and has a few pro fighters in them, if you're good enough and tell them that you're interested in going pro, then the coaches there might let you fight in a league and theyll train you. If you do well enough in that league (like becoming the champion of your weight division, or impress the scouts from UFC or Strikeforce etc) you'll be offered a contract to fight for that respective organization.
The starting steps for you as an amateur MMA fighter is to have proper training in mixed Martial Arts before you step into the cage. You gotta join a well reputed and good gym where you can have the training. Work hard to improve your physical health.
i trained for a year and soon after that my coach said i was ready for an amateur so he took me up to colwyn bay in Wales for an amateur
