Being a martial artist means being in shape. Training and staying healthy is a big part of performing well. Most martial artist or MMA fighters work out on a regular basis to make sure there always in top form. If you plan to lose weight by studying Martial Arts its actually a good idea, if your dedicated. Make sure to keep up with your training, and while training make sure to do the most basic things like you would when working out like, drink a'lot of water, don't eat before training, make sure to stretch, stretching is a big deal. if your tense you wont be able to move well which can damper your learning. All in all if you plan to lose weight, working out in just about anyway can help but a diet is important to.
