Not for regular Ballet but for pointe there is a chance that you could break toes.

He had his own dance studio and when they had a break he would sketch them fixing their shoes.
If you do tap, tap shoes. If you do ballet, ballet flats.
ballet shoes are leather it is imposible to darn them ~or~ you pick up your ballet shoes and say,"Darn you, ballet shoes!" seriously, if you've worn a hole in your shoes, GET NEW ONES
pointe shoes? or ballet flats?
Soft, leather ballet shoes
Zapatos de ballet is the Spanish term for ballet shoes.
First of all you need to get them warm to crack the glue, otherwise the shoes break. Either run through your barre work to get them nice and warm or wear them to bed. Once they are warm take them off and bend them forwards and backwards until the heel can be folded onto the tip. You will hear cracking noises but this is ok. Another method is to place them in the door and slam it, my teacher reccomends this one. When you can roll up through the foot to demi point and then en pointe slowly tehn in a releve they are broken in. Have fun! you could also step on the box (while your foot's not in it) or put water on the vamp (not on the box)!!!
Generally it is pink ballet tights with ballet shoes or pointe shoes, then a leotard/ballet dress or tutu.
