The quarterback is reading the defense and communicating with the offensive line. He might be pointing out a possible blitz or calling out a blocking assignment.

It depends how tall are you and how much you weigh? Linebackers need weight and strength.
A 4-3 defense is a defensive front that consists of 4 defensive linemen (typically two tackles and two ends) and 3 linebackers.
Yes, short people can play football as long as you like to hit and can play the position well. It depends on your definition of short, I have known short people to play linebacker and they have been one of the best football players I have ever played with throughout my football career so far. Plus when you're in peewee football the little kids are short and still play Linebacker. There has been people in the NFL who have been shorter then average linebackers and are some of the best linebackers in NFL history.

Rally scoring in volleyball is where a point is given after each play. Before rally scoring, only the serving team could score a point. With rally scoring, either team has a chance at the point. Rally scoring has two benefits: 1. Speeds up the play. Games could drag on and on if the serving team kept siding out. 2. Rewards good defense. Knowing that you have a chance to score even if you're not serving allows a team to be more aggressive
Ted Hendricks did not miss a game in his entire career. He played in 215 consecutive games between 1969-1983, an NFL record for linebackers.
Dat Tan Nguyen is the first Vietnamese American to play in the NFL. He played for the Dallas Cowboys, and is currently their assistant linebackers and defensive quality control coach.
To get things started, the outside linebackers are just that...they cover plays on the outside to prevent plays along the outer perimeter, thus the inside linebackers play witin the inside to prevent a blast and to blitz. It really all depends on which defensive play you are running....i.e. 3-4, 4-3, 46. If a 3-4 is called, you then have 3 very big linemen, and four linebackers. But within this formation, you have a strong side and a weak side. This is usually used to disguise where the fourth rusher will be coming from. The two inside LB's, one will cover the run while the other will drop back if needed. Hope this helps.
