Why does netball need agility?

When playing Netball, you will be constantly marked by the oppostition; to get away from them and ready to receive the ball you need to Dodge and change direction quickly. This is the reason agility is needed.

Agility is the ability to change direction quickly and accurately (whilst keeping balance, strength and body control).Netballers are constantly using agility, whether it is driving out and back in for the ball, receiving multiple passes in a row at different places, dodging players, trailing attackers, switching between defending different players and many, many more.

Without agility, players would find it extremely hard to move away from their defender, which in turn leads to a lack of play in the game.
