It was a reaction to the American No Fun League, also known as the Puritan Church. When Bowling came to this continent, it was played as Ninepins - the way bowling is still played in Europe. The Puritans felt bowling, like any other recreational activity, took time away from prayer...so they passed a law in Massachusetts that No Person shall Bowl at Nine Pins. Naturally, the bowling alley proprietors realized bowling at other numbers of pins was still legal and added a tenth pin to the rack.
I would take a guess that it is 10 Pins on a Bowling Alley.
10 P on a B A = 10 Pins on a Bowling Ally.
ten pins on a Bowling lane
You have to knock down ten pins in two tries to get a spare.

10 Pins on a Bowling Alley
The pins are lined up in a triangle formation.
There are ten pins in ten pin bowling as that is the nature of that sport. In 5 pin bowling, there are 5 pins.
10 Pins in Ten Pin Bowling
70%
then 3 in next row 2 in the next and 1 in frontEdit: assuming you are referring to the 10-pin bowling, there are four in the back row, not five, as was previously answered by someone else.Considering the 5 + 3 + 2 + 1 = 11, it is fairly clear that the pins are not set up in that war.
Bowling pins last 12 to 24 months.
