A trial took place with all three divers, Tom Daley, Pete Waterfield and Max Brick, to find the best combination. It was decided that Tom Daley and Pete Waterfield would be the best pairing. Pete is an Olympic silver medalist from 2004, so has a wealth of experience.
Pete decided not to travel to the Commonwealth Games because of security concerns so Tom and Max competed, and won, the Men's 10M Synchro event. This reopened the debate among supporters, but British Diving continued with the Tom and Pete pairing.

Retrieving a ten pound brick from underwater can be challenging as the weight can make it difficult to swim or maneuver in the water. However, with proper technique and equipment like diving gear or a buoyancy device, it is possible to safely retrieve the brick. It is important to have the necessary skills and training before attempting such a task to ensure your safety.
The water will keep you warmer than the brick. The water has a higher heat volume and will take longer to cool down than the brick.
