The mclaren f1 was the fastest production car in the world until the bugatti veyron, capable of a top speed of 240mph. Mclaren also made a race version called the F1 LM which won the le mans 24hour race.
The new race in the 2010 Formula One championship was at South Korea. The track is called Yeognam, and it was race 17 of the 19 race season.

No a driver can not be changed in the middle of a race.
Most f1 cars have about 8-9 hundred horsepower but horsepower is limited andall the cars in one race have the same horsepower so one car doesn't go faster than another and it is a fair race.
So that the FIA can check if the weight of the driver plus the car is at least 605kg at the end of the race.
