The first ever Formula One grand prix was the 1950 British Grand Prix that was held on May 13, 1950 and was won by Nino Farina driving an Alfa Romeo Car. He qualified on Pole position, set the fastest lap and won the race. Incidentally Nina Farina won the 1950 drivers championship too.

The first Formula 1 Grand Prix was the Britsh Grand Prix, Silverstone in May 1950. The winner of the 70 lap race was Nino Farina in an Alfa Romeo. Farina went on to win the world championship.
