the 1999 First Division play off final was played between Bolton Wanderers and Watford, Manchester City never played in it, they got promoted to the Premiership the season after through automatic promotion in 2000
I can think of Mark Hughes, scored for Manchester United against Chelsea in 1994 before moving to them a season later. Frank Stapleton scored for Arsenal against Manchester United in the 1979 Final and moved to United in 1981. Kevin Keeganscored in 1974 for Liverpool against Newcastle United, and went on to play for them in 1982. That's all i can think of

The first goal scored in the 2009 Champions League final, which was the last time Barcelona and Manchester United met each other, was scored by Samuel Eto'o from Cameroon. Barcelona went on to win the match 2-0, with the second goal scored by Argentina's Lionel Messi.
Derby beat Charlton 4-1. It was 1-1 after normal time, with both goals coming from Charlton's Bert Turner (one was an own goal). Derby then scored three times in extra time to lift the FA Cup.
