The players I remember from there were, Morne Duplessis, Dougal Mcdonald, Chris Pope, Peter Whip, maybe Gerald Bosch + 14 others - Mike Actually there were 43 of them. The selectors panicked after the loss of the first test at Newlands.There were only three players who I can remember played in all four tests and they were Hannes Marais, Chris Pope and, I think , Peter Whip. So, it is best to look at it test by test and apart from the three above they were: First Test: Piston van Wyk(?), John Williams, Morne Duplessis,Roy Mc Cullum, Dawie Snyman (?) and Ian Mc Cullum Second Test Paul Bayfel, Gerald Bosch Third TestGerrie Sonnekus, Kleinkie Grobler, Moaner van Heerden, Kevin De Klerk(?)Polla Fourie Fourth Test ? It depends upon which test? The selectors panicked and ended up selecting 43 players in the four tests. The only to play in all four were Hannes Marais, Chris Pope and , I think, Peter Whip. As for the first test there was Hannes Marais, Piston van Wyk(?), Mof Myburg(?), John Williams and apart from Morne I can't remember the rest of the pack but Roy Mc Cullum played scrum half, at fly half Dawie Snyman (?) and then at full back was Iain McCullum. Paul Bayfel played as scrumhalf in the second test, and John Williams was dropped at lock. In the third test Gerrie Sonnekus played at scrumhalf, and Moaner van Heerden and Polla Fourie were selected as "meanies" to counter the 99 call. Kleinkie Grobbler also played in that test - famously dropping the ball before an open try line. In the Fourth test the selectors recalled Roy McCullum Adrian Collingwood
