Whoever issues the card puts your handicap on it. However, you are responsible in ensuring that it is correct, so if it is wrong you must correct it.
You will be disqualified for handing in a card with the wrong handicap. That is what the rules dictate should happen, if you are given a card with the wrong handicap on it, you should change it.
A golf handicap is a numerical representation of a player’s ability,
Three rounds off the competition tees, card marked and signed by member.
You get a shot on the holes as determined by the stroke index or handicap as set on the score card. So if your handicap is 9, you get one shot on each of the holes ranked 1-9 on the stroke index or handicap index. Using your handicap, you get a shot on the hardest holes 1 being the hardest and 18 being the easiest.
A golf index is the same thing as a golf handicap - it measures a golfer's ability.
Check with the competition committee as they may have specific rules or a time limit. Interestingly the rules of golf have no time limit, they state the card should be handed in 'as soon as possible.'
