Well this depends on a lot of things. Are you wanting a gym that is good with children and is more about the kids having fun or is it more about promoting the advancement in gymnastics? This will also depend upon what area you are from. Obviously WOGA is one of the best gyms in the nation but you have to be an elite to really attend there. Call your local listing and talk to them about classes and see what gym may be best for you. Some questions that may be good to ask are 1) how long are you classes? 2) how many days a week are your classes 3) which is more important to your gym, that the children have fun or that the children become the best gymnast (don't accept both as an answer!) 4) How are the classes arranged age, sex, level etc.5) Are all the coaches experienced coaches? 6) Do any of the coaches that teach regular recreational gymnastics also teach the competitive teams?
Anywhere, or at a gym. Depends on where you are really. It is not hard to find gym near you.

You can probably look in a phone book or the internet to find a local gym in your area offering gymnastics. Some gymnastics facilities offer more than gymnastics as well. The gym I coached at offered, dance, gymnastics, tumbling, cheer-leading, martial arts, and swimming so it may not be listed directly under gymnastics. Then you can call their office or just go directly to the gym and ask to be enrolled in gymnastics. Depending upon how reputable the gym you participate in, it may be more expensive than others. Figure out what is most important to you: cost, friendliness, quality etc. and pick the right gym. Then you will choose when you want to do gymnastics and start as soon as they let you.
