The first scheduled race was to be the Grand Prix of Bahrain that was supposed to be run on March 13. Because of political unrest in Bahrain that race has been postponed and may be run at the end of the season depending on the state of affairs in Bahrain, according to F1 CEO Bernie Ecclestone. This puts the Grand Prix of Australia, scheduled to be run March 27, as the first race of the 2011 season.
The first race of the 2010 season is scheduled to be the Bahrain Grand Prix on 14 March at 12:00 GMT.
