In major league baseball, a player may not re-enter the game after he has been removed. However; the all-star game has its own set of rules such that a catcher can return. In Major League Baseball being banned from baseball means that you are not eligible to sign any type of contract with one of its 30 teams and you are unable to have any part in festivities held in a Major League Ball park unless the Commissioner's Office grants a special exception to allow the banned player into a ball park however the banned player is still able to be signed with a national broadcaster such as for example ESPN, TBS or FOX since the banned list does not cover national broadcasting teams.
