Yes and no. The matches are scripted; the winners are predetermined, and most promos are written beforehand either by the wrestler themself or someone else hired to write it for them. Storylines and feuds are created by writers working backstage. In wrestling, only the punches and kicks are fake. However, with other moves, some certain precautions are taken to prevent serious injury.

it depends on what amount of wrestling/Promos and talking bits you like. raw has lots of promos and backstage segments. smackdown has a balence between the two but ecw is very wrestling heavy
