2004. Ironically a high schooler was taken number one that year, Dwight Howard. Although he is NOT the last high school player drafted into the NBA. Late in the second round of that years draft the Detroit Pistons selected Amir Johnson and Amir is the last high school player drafted into the NBA.

∙ 14y agoThe NBA stopped drafting out of high school in 2005. They stopped after Lebron got into all that legal trouble about accepting gifts.
