Ghana have hosted the tournament twice: in 1963, when they beat Sudan 3-0 in the final, and in 2000 (co-hosted with Nigeria), when Cameroon beat Nigeria in a penalty shoot-out in the final, 4-3 after a 2-2 draw. Ghana went out in the quarter-finals, 1-0 to South Africa.
There were six countries Cameroon. Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Ghana, South Africa and Algeria.
The last Africa Cup of Nations was held in 2010 not in 2009 and it Egypt won it.
