In 1958, it was the Des Moines Bruins of the Western League. The Bruins were a Class A farm team for the Cubs from 1947-1958. In 1959 and 1960, the Lancaster Red Roses of the Eastern League were the Class A farm team for the Cubs. Those were the only two years they were associated with the Cubs.
