Not sure about the first ever one, but the oldest footballs about were made of thick, stitched up leather, filled with pig's bladder, I believe. Many times heavier than today's football. Might not answer your question completely but hope this helps.
depends what football you're referring to: soccer or American football? depends what football you're referring to: soccer or American football?
The first set of rules for soccer were made by the London Football Association in 1863.
"if you are talking about AFL football then Afl is older then soccer The first game if soccer was played in 1872, November 30th The first game of football was played in 1858, August 7th" WRONG. The dates are right, officially, but the actual game of Association Football (Soccer) is far older, the OFFICIAL rules were made during this period; and although the first official game of American Football was played "first", American Football is actually a VARIATION of Association Football AND Rugby Football. So how can it be OLDER if it's based on Association Football? Foolish child.
By rugby and soccer
Football made its debut at the 1900 Summer Olympics in Paris.
Football/Soccer.
the english
What happened was that at the time it was called football but it was actually played like soccer. When they changed the rules to football (which then made it more like rugby), they kept the old football rules and just called that sport soccer.
