I know that Alabama has won 12 national titles . I think Notre dame has about that many too.... I remember the Alabama 1966 team was definitely the best team in the country , undefeated and beat Nebraska in a bowl game but Alabama had no blacks on their team and could not get the votes of a lot of northern voters able to vote for the national championship.. so........
