Firebending in book 1 was heavily based off Shaolin Kung Fu. However, with Azula's introduction, many kicks from Tae kwon do were consistently seen.
There is no one martial art being used, and it is said that both ranged and close-combat were moderately different from each other for firebending.

Martial arts are no more evil then a gun or a knife, or even a stick. In fact, most true martial artists are recognized more for their contributions to society then their fighting ability. A true martial artist would never consider attacking someone for fun or just because they can. a true martial artist understands martial ethics.
Baguazhang has the best foot work in martial arts and it is known to be the most extensive foot work. This form of martial arts was designed to fight off multiple attackers at once, so proper foot work is needed.
Taekwondo
None. All martial arts involve the use of hands and the entire body.
In order to learn how to do taekwondo, you would an instructor. This is a systematic type of martial arts that has its origin in Korean. It teaches fighting skills as well discipline.
Kung Fu

Of course Martial arts was used in Charlie's Angles, but as for the specific type I am not sure. If it is like most other movies, however, it is probably a vast array of different types. Usually, because of all the different martial arts there are, when people are taught a martial art, and then learn more than one, when they reteach one or the other they combine them. But in the movies, depending on what the directors want in the scene, the type of martial art will change, because every martial art specializes in a different category! Lucy Liu personally practices the martial arts of Kali-Eskrima-Silat (knife-and-stick fighting). But the choreographed moves were a mixture of several eastern martial arts including various styles of wushu and karate.
