Randy Johnson started the 2009 season with 295 wins. Through the games played on May 25 he has 3 wins in the 2009 season leaving him two away from the magical 300 number.
299 - i think there was a movie on that called "mr.299" it was the story on how he was about to be mr.300 but sadlu got mr.299
Yes i think so he won more than 300 games and hes one of the best left handed pitchers ever.
Randy Johnson has the most strikeouts by a left handed pitcher. He also has the second most strikeouts all-time and over 300 wins.
Randy Johnson.Johnson, pitching for the San Francisco Giants, won his 300th game on June 4, 2009 against the Washington Nationals.
300+ pounds
Other than Randy Johnson I don't see too many pitchers in the future reaching 300 victories. When 300 victories was the 'magic' number for pitchers to make the Hall of Fame, they were pitching every fourth game. This would give them 39-41 starts per year. Now with pitchers pitching every fifth game they get 33-35 starts per year. I see that magic number dropping from 300 to 250 in the future. UPDATE: On June 4, 2009 Randy Johnson got his 300th victory, a 5-1 win over the Washington Nationals.
