In shotokan karate, the 9th kyu grade is orange belt, after the 8th kyu grade, red. But this will vary according the the particular school of karate, some schools not using a red belt at all in their system. In some styles the red belt indicates 9th or 10th Dan, which is as high as you can go.
First, you need to win up to black belt in card-jitsu. When you get it, challenge the Sensei and try to beat him. If you do, he will make you ninja. You will also get a secret place. He will tell you where it is. Go to the secret place and there will be a Matirial Art catalog. There will be a karate belt in there.

hmm, funny you ask. I do karate, i'm a first degree black belt, and i'm trying to get this girl to like me. Anyway. I would suggest coming to a few classes, like one every once in a while so they dont think your a stalker. Also, come to all their belt tests and tournaments to support them. I hope this works!
It depends on the school you go to some schools give belt and then belt w/ stripes to advance to the next belt color. For some karate schools it means that you are an elite warrior (when you have the black stripe) meaning that you are better all round than the others of that rank.
Most of the Korean martial arts will have a red belt in the sequence like that, but the Okinawan and Japanese arts would not.
The belt orders vary some from school to school. In general, the belts will go white, yellow, orange, green, blue, brown and then to black. if you reach the level after 9th black belt its red belt (top one)
The belt usually has a clip or ring that is on the left side (as it's worn) of the belt buckle. Before putting the belt on, put the length of the belt through that clip, then put the belt on. The small nub you'll find on the right side (as it's worn) of the belt buckle will go into a free hole to keep the belt buckle in place. If you have a detachable belt buckle such as a western belt, then the belt and the buckle are sold separately. If that is the case, then the belt will have a snap that will open the end. The buckle has a metal ring on the inside that the end of the belt will go through.
