Depends on what age you are
Find a club near you and join their sessions for your age group. To find a club try googling rugby and your country and then the clubs listed. There are two distinct codes. Rugby union and league. Check out both on you tube and see which you would prefer.
Rugby league is the national sport of Papua, New Guinea. Almost half the population under the age of 20 play rugby league.
a minimum of 18 years of age
and what is the question here?
No you cannot. There are opportunities for people from 16 years of age upward to join in the referee development programmes run in many countries.
You could be injured by larger players or injure smaller players.
srry, i dont mean to break you heart but there is no profesional league for youre age. but, if you are extremeley talented then you could still play in a pro league or join a recreational league, or maybe even a division 2 league team. good luck!
There is no standard age, however you rarely see a professional rugby player over the age of 35-40.

OK, if you look at Males only and exlcude rugby league, which has a further 22,000 players but the detailed stats are not available, you can make the following estimations. Population of new zealand is approx 4.2million, of whom approx 129,000 pre-teen, teen and adult males are registered with the NZRFU as rugby players - i.e. 3.1% of the total population. The NZRFU recognises the U-7 age group, so if we these 129,000 players are all aged 7 - 40 years, this means they are drawn from about 870,000 people according to the 2006 NZ census. So as a proportion of male population aged 7 - 40 about 129,000 out of 870,000, or 15% play rugby. You can make some assumptions and chuck in the 22,000 who play Rugby League and the aggregate League/ Union figure rises to more like 17%. In reality, there is probably a big player number drop off after the age of 30, when guys start getting families, not to mention sore, so can't spend their saturdays playing. This would increase the percentage further, so it could be as high as 20% of males aged 7 - 30 in NZ play rugby.
'Tom Guyatt Vs Ryan Apps at rugby?'Rugby BrainTom Has been playing rubgy for 10 years from the age of 5 whilst Ryan has only playing for 3 years from the age of 12. Both players have great ability in the sport but Tom's reaction time, thinking, tackling, speed and eye for the game exceeds Ryans By a great distance.History Tom has played rugby in both forms league and union and played for 2 teams though out his rugby time line. He started For kinston woriors at the age of 5 and quit at 11 (league club) and one of his great mates Harvey played there too who has had a rugby league trial for England but failed from a broken arm Injury.Tom went onto school rugby for Claremont and became fullback since the other backs could not tackle but him. At the age of 13 his good friend Ed C invited him to join esher rugby were he nows plays for the 'As' and scored there most important try of the season. In Tom's second season he invited 5 friends from school to play and 4 of them stayed George, Louis, Olie and Ryan who left the next season.Ryans rugby Life started in secondary school at the age of 12 and then joined Easher rugby but quit after one year. Conclusion Both players are great Rugby players But with more ability and experience Tom Guyatt would beat Ryan Apps at a rugby contestSo Tom Guyatt is better Than Ryan Apps at RugbyAnd Cam Walker said Ryan is POOPIE
There are many teams of veteran rugby players, who recently competed in a tournament in Madeira which goes to show that rugby goes on past the thirty year age group. Personally I play for a team in Porto Portugal who field players upto the age of 50+ and i myself am 59 years and still a keen player playing whem time permits every Saturday throughout the year. I train every day to keep fit and from this feel a wonderful sense of wellbeing. As of July 15 2008, the oldest rugby player still playing is a 90 year old Japanese man named Sadayoshi Morita.
