whether youre right or left handed does not matter, a ball that does not go straight down the lane and curves as it goes down the lane is called a Hook.

some bowlers intentionally put a tops spin on their balls by turning the hand 1/4 turn just as they let it go down the lane. this in turns puts the hook on the ball
