The bowler bowls the ball with an underarm pendulum action to the batter. It is deemed a "good" ball if it passes within reach on the striking side between the batter's knees and the top of the head .... otherwise it is called a "no-ball" or "bad" ball. The ball is also "bad" if it is thrown into the batter's body or wide of the batting box. A batter may try to hit a bad ball but is not required to. A player is not out if a "no-ball" is caught. Hope this helps =] have fun playing rounders
The throwing rules are that if you throw it to high, to low, to far to the side or if you hit the bowler it is classed as a no ball this is decided by the bowling umpire and the batting umpire
A donkey drop in rounders is when the bowler bowls the ball high in the air, the ball then drops just as it gets to the batter. This encourages the batter to hit the ball up meaning the fielding team are more likely to get a catch. Hope this helps
There are two umpires for a game of rounders, one for the batters and one for the bowlers. The batter's umpire will usually claim a spot between the batter and the first post, a few steps back from the field. The bowler's umpire will stand where he or she has a clear view of both the batter and bowler. Most often they will pick a spot behind the second post or between the second and third post.
A turky in bowling is the classic error made when bowling with a to heavy and to big fingerholes ball. When loading the throw, the bowler looses the ball backwards and it flyes backwards towards the other bowlers. Happens frequently, and was last observed in Atyrau KZ. Bowler: Gro Ostrem
A bowler is apart of the fielding team. They must aim to throw the ball at the opponents bat in order for them to hit it out.
They shout Howzat in cricket which means 'how's that' when bowling or the bowler believes that they have got the batter out . It is not only the bowler any fielder can yell out that as well but usually they wait for the bowlers appeal.
