Sandy Koufax currently lives in Vero Beach, Florida. Koufax, a retired left-handed pitcher for the Brooklyn Dodgers and Los Angeles Dodgers, was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1972.
After retiring from baseball after the 1966 season, the 31-year-old Koufax joined NBC Sports as a member of the Major League Baseball broadcast team. Although Koufax had signed a 10-year contract with NBC to be a baseball broadcaster, he left before the start of the 1973 season. He often felt uncomfortable on camera.

Most probably could be a reference to famous baseball pitcher ( Los Angeles Dodgers) Sanford Koufax or Sandy Koufax. Post baseball- he briefly worked as a sportscaster, there is a picture of him in one of the Guiness Books of World Records as a sports announcer. I know nothing about spongebob squarepants- but the only Sandy K of any sort of celebrity fame- would have to be Koufax, sometimes called ( koo).
