The Iditarod dog sled race is known as "The Last Great Race" and it is run each year in Alaska. The dogs pull the sleds from Anchorage to Nome.

The fewest dogs you can run with is at least 10. At the start of the race you must at least has 12 dogs in order to start the race

Togo was a dog in the years of Alaska with disease so they had dogs run to get to Nome and Togo was one
They run their dogs alot and slowly increase the distance.
They actually run in race tracks but, they can be very good house pets.
The iditarod should run for ever as it's man and animal working together in there highest form. Alaska would not be Alaska with out sled dogs.
