Today, females can wear dresses, skirts, or pants. The outfit should be in good taste and relate to the music. In addition to the costume, skaters wear their hair in buns, ponytails, or otherwise out of their face. They also use heavy theatrical make-up so the audience is able to see their features.

You should ussualy get a dress when you start competing in competitions but we all know its exciting to get a dress beforehand. Just saying that you should only get a dress if your really good like you can do 4 different jumps you can spin succesfully and your spirals are stunning so I would say around Level silver. There is no specific uniform required in golf. Figure skating is another. Most other organized and competitive sports do require a uniform, or at least a specific standard of dress. Even tennis players all dress pretty much alike.
