i like the slg, but the pmr may be better.. they are probably about the same though. whichever one has ul frame would be better.
Slg Pmr
Although both is decent for the price, the SLG is better. If you have money for the SLG, go for it, otherwise the Piranha GTI is good enough.
The rail comes with a two piece barrel and has some slight changes, such as a new Feedneck, ASA (On/Off), Different Bolt, Ultralight Frame, and an aluminum body. The SLG has a bit older parts, and has a type of plastic for the body. This makes the pricing about 200 different between the two.
DP G4 is definetly the way to go. The proto slg can't shoot as fast, isn't as light, and has way too many problems. The G3 was an amazing gun and all they did with the g4 is fixed the few knicks with it and the G3 was a better gun than the SLG. Plus if you ever do have a problem with the G4 the customer service is amazing. I love my G4 get it now!
its a decent marker but a horrible value, for the money you can do much better in todays market
$260 i believe but i recommend getting a pilot or electra because they are way better and cheeper. Better than all of those is the 09 proto SLG which is only $200 and is better than all of the spyders.
I am a fan of the slg, but it has some minor problems, but it is a good gun for 200. I have a dangerous power g3 that runs for about 300, I am in love with that gun. Dont get any of the smart parts garbage, not even a shocker at best the SLG is a high entry level marker, it is a sear tripped blowforward, anything with a sear is not worthy of being called mid end, the G3, has a host of issues and in todays market is a pretty poor attempt at an unbalanced spool, compared to other unbalanced spools (mainly the PMR and ion XE) it is much louder, has more kick, gets worse efficiency and tends to break more offten, for that 200-300 price range look into a used PMR, Mini, or if you can find it a used F8, these will be your best options in the mid range category that will do wonderful at speedball
If you are thinking about getting a better gun because you have been playing for a while (which is what i am guessing) then go with the proto slg and sell the vibe. The proto slg is a good gun for the price and has all the modes you would need on it and is pretty accurate. Another good gun that is around the price is the azodin blitz. It is a good cheap gun that i have been playing with for about a year and 4 months and it has not failed me yet.
There is no such thing as the "best" paintball marker. Anything over $700 is mainly preference. If you don't want to spend that much on a paintball marker, markers such as the Dangerous Power G3, Proto SLG, or Azodin Blitz are all great for the price. Also keep these two things in mind: Nowadays lower end markers ($200-$350) can compete with the ultra high- end ones ($1000-$1500+) fine. Also, the marker does not make the player. No matter how much money you put into your marker, it will not make you a better player.
You should use HPA with a Proto SLG.
