Indoor and Outdoor Field Hockey Sticks differ in thickness, so no it wouldn't be a good idea due to it being thinner than an outdoor stick. Would be better to use an outdoor stick!
personally i use a mercian stick (and love it) , but Dita and grays are really good also :)
I can't name the makes because there is so many but smaller one's are better for beginners that's what my field hockey coach said and the more you improve the taller your hockey stick gets but it depends on your height too glad i could help

Firstly, field hockey uses a ball not a puck. Secondly, no, use of the back of the stick is against the rules; however use of the edge in some situations is perfectly legal and even acknowledged as good play.
