When doing the math, here is the facts that you would need in order to calculate: 1 Mile = 1609.344 Meters(about 4 laps)13mph = 20921.472 meters an hour(about 52 laps, and 121 meters) so 20921.472 meters per 3600 seconds set up a ratio (20921.472/3600) = (400/X) ---> X is how long it would take you to run the 400, in seconds. cross multiply (20921.472 * X) = (3600 * 400) you get (20921.472 X = 1440000) now x = (1440000/20921.472) and you get 68.83s or 1:08.83

Anytime below 1:10 or 70 seconds is a pretty good time.

A time around 1:04 - 1:07 is really fast.

1:03 and below are amazing times!

Last year for 12-13 year olds, the winning time of 100 hundred school was 1:02, and my time of 1:06 put me in the top 15.

So a fast time would be 1:02 - 1:08.

Assuming boys, average for 13 is around 1:00 to 1:05. Race winning times for 13 are around :56 or less.

I disagree. A 1:05 is a very fast time for a 13 year old. I would say probably 1:25 to 1:35

A 1:05 is a great time for a 13 year, it is also absolutely mid pack at any track event. A 1:25 to 1:35 will guarantee last place or very close to last place. Most 8th grade 400m events are won at less than :56, with :53 and :54 very common.

I disagree. I have a son who was nine years old and and he was running a 1:12 400 meters

I do not know if i have a W.R. for my 400m dash, i am 11 and run a 1:03:51 i need some help. Also my sixth grade track team has a 1:56:54 on our 800 medley relay. I need some help
