I am a wide receiver for my high school, and i know that QB's to practice with are not always available. the only thing you really can do is practice your routes. maybe set up an obstacle as a corner back or linebacker and work on your juking and spins. but for catching a ball, there's not many things you can do without a quarter back, besides throw it up in the air and catch it. personally I am a kick returner and I throw the ball on my roof and let it fall down to practice catching kicks.

Yes, he could. Do you remember when Kordell Stewart was part of the Steelers roster in 1995? He was nicknamed "Slash" because he played quarterback, wide receiver and half back. My mistake, I meant to say that he was nicknamed "Slash" because he could play quarterback/wide receiver/half back. QB "slash" WR "slash" HB. In almost every game of the 95' season, the rookie was used for at least one of the positions. He was nicknamed slash e.g "/" slash....I think as long as you line up in the backfield no matter what position you can take the snap and that makes you the QB for that play.

Don't understand the question....there are several "starting wide receivers" on every team...If you meant who is their "star" wide-out, even the commentators on tv will tell you that is very hard to define because: 1. Brees spreads the ball to all of his wide-outs, more so than any other qb in the league. {ex. today vs. giants: td's were scored by (i believe) 7 different players} 2. He does that b/c there is A LOT of firepower at the wide receiver position in New Orleans. Any saint wide receiver would be considered the "go-to" wide receiver on an average NFL team. Yet, I guess if you would have to pick based on popularity it would be Marques Colston...i guess
