if you are eating a meal the best foods are pasta, noodles, rice, cereal, toast, eggs, pancakes, waffles' or a peanut butter sandwich - as long as it is a meal that hits the main food groups. it is beat to have a meal 2-3 hours before swimming and then eating snacks regularly which are easier to digest like fruit, energy bars, sports drinks, pretzels, pop tarts, simple sandwich, small low fat pudding, rice cakes or plain toast.
